Queen Creek is hosting a Hometown Christmas celebration this December.
The two-day event will include a tree lighting, a parade, and other activities. Friday evening will include the tree lighting ceremony, food trucks, and a stage featuring a variety of local performing arts groups. Attendees can also participate in several Santa-themed activities. These include photos with Santa, a workshop for making ornaments and garland and a letter-writing station. There will also be a scavenger hunt that lets participants search for small Christmas trees made of popsicle sticks and get a special treat for completing the list.
The parade will take place on Saturday morning and will feature a selection of local businesses, bands, equine groups, and other organizations. Floats will reflect the “Rockin’ Around QC” vintage rock and roll theme. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Towns often use poster printing services to promote their holiday events.
Both parts of the weekend are outdoors, so attendees should dress warmly. Shuttles between the parking lots and the event will be available on both Friday and Saturday. Parking locations and the shuttle schedule will be posted on the town’s website soon.
Queen Creek Hometown Christmas will take place on Friday, December 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday, December 6 starting at 10:00 am in Queen Creek town center.
