Mental Health Fest, Inc., a local nonprofit, is hosting its inaugural festival at Queen Creek Junior High School this spring.
Mental Health Fest will include a variety of activities designed to support the nonprofit’s mission of celebrating mental wellness and eliminating the stigma associated with mental illness. Participants can hear from speakers, take yoga classes, and join in group line dancing. A panel discussion will include Dignity Health Director of Spiritual Care Carrie Wester. The organizers will announce other participants on social media leading up to the event.
There will be food, games, music, raffles, and other entertainment, along with interactive workshops on mental health-related topics. There will also be a selection of food, retail, and mental health-related vendors. Sponsors and vendors often include Promotional Products in raffle prize baskets at this type of event.
The event is free to attend and includes activities for both teens and younger kids. A Teen Lounge and Kids’ Corner will be set up for attendees in different age groups.
In addition to this signature celebration, Mental Health Fest, Inc. hosts events throughout the year to promote wellness and new social connections. These include a group hike and brunch, dance fitness classes, a pop-up yoga session and an author meetup.
Mental Health Fest will take place on Saturday, May 31 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Queen Creek Junior High School.
