The Mary Gloria Foundation (MGF) is hosting a health and wellness event at the Queen Creek Library this October.
Wellness and You: Your Health Matters will include health screenings, fun activities, and informational programs. Attendees can meet with vendors to discuss the healthcare services they offer. Vendors often use brochure printing services to share information about what their company or organization does. Attendees can receive dental screenings, mental health assessments, flu shots, and vital sign assessments. The Simon Med mobile mammography bus will also be available for screening mammograms. Appointments are required for these screenings. Information about how to schedule is available on the MGF’s website.
There will also be several wellness and fitness classes, including yoga, folklorico dancing, and meditation. Other sessions will cover how to deal with bullying on social media and how to make healthy snacks. Activities for kids and families will include pumpkin decorating and a scavenger hunt. The first 100 children to arrive will receive door prizes and fresh fruit. Those interested should sign up on the MGF’s website and indicate the number of kids, adults, and seniors who will be attending. Registrants can also sign up to volunteer at the event.
The MGF Wellness and You event will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Zane Grey Room at the Queen Creek Library.
