The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Elevate for Tomorrow conference for high school juniors this December.
The event is designed to help high school students understand their options for the future and build the skills they will need to achieve their goals. It will include a presentation from a group of speakers, a series of workshops, and a college and career fair. Workshop topics will include practical skill-building like interview preparation and résumé writing, as well as personal development strategies like goal-setting and finding one’s purpose.
During the fair, students will be able to speak with representatives from different schools and employers to learn more about their options for further education and entering the job market directly after high school. Colleges often use brochure printing services to provide information about their programs to prospective students.
Businesses and schools interested in setting up a table at the fair can register on the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce website. In past years, between 800 and 1,200 high school students have attended the event. Student attendees do not need to sign up in advance. Additional details are available on the Chamber’s website.
The Elevate for Tomorrow conference will take place on Friday, December 8 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic Campus.
