Phoenix’s Mortgage Matchup Center is hosting a performance by Santana and The Doobie Brothers this August.
The concert is part of the collaborative The Oneness Tour, a Live Nation-produced series of concerts. The Oneness Tour kicked off earlier this year with a two-night solo show by Santana at Red Rocks in late May. The Doobie Brothers joined the tour the following month in a Chicago show and they have been on board the whole way ever since.
Santana brings his signature electric guitar ballads that span his career, from the breakout album Abraxas to the more modern Supernatural. The Woodstock alumnus first came on the music scene from San Francisco, bringing a mix of blues, rock, and Afro-Latin sensibilities to pop airwaves.
Meanwhile, The Doobie Brothers is a five-member ensemble known for crafting pop hits utilizing harmonies, elements of American folk, with the guitar as the front-and-center instrument and wrapping it all together in a rock and roll package. In addition to the classics, the band will play music from their newest album, Walk This Road, the 16th full-length LP of their career.
