Chandler’s climate offers home horticulturalists an opportunity to cultivate species that require considerable warmth and sunlight, and anyone who would like to find out more may want to register for a class planned for later this month.
Container gardening gives home gardeners a chance to grow flowers, food plants and other species even if they have no yard or other “in ground” plot. Its registration system is currently open to the public, and it will be an evening activity.
The attendees will discover how easy it can be to cultivate plants using containers such as pots, grow Bags, and deck bins. Both ornamental and vegetable cultivars will be included, and there will be time spent discussing how choosing the right receptacle can also add beauty to any size of garden, even if it is just a plot on a balcony or windowsill. The participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during the one-and-a-half-hour session.
Home horticulture has grown in popularity, and many communities have planned events that help the public to get going. Handouts for a class may be prepared by local brochure printing companies, and include full color illustrations and other graphics.
This easy introduction to the art and science of gardening in containers is scheduled for November 15. It will be on offer at ASU Chandler Innovation Center. Get a Free Quote for Bags
