The force is with you in Chandler this May

Several events in Chandler are set to celebrate the universe of Star Wars, just in time for its unofficial holiday, May the Fourth Be With You.

The George Lucas-inspired film franchise has grown into a cultural institution in its own right, with games and activities being held in various venues.

On May 2, the Barnes and Noble store in the Chandler Fashion Center is hosting a Star Wars LEGO Build Event, for ages 10 and up. Any reservation holders who do not show up will have their spot released on a first-come, first-served basis.

LEGO enthusiasts will have another chance at creating their Star Wars masterpieces with a similar build event at the SanTan Gardens on May 4 from 6 pm to 10 pm. Bricks and Minifigs Chandler is helping to put on the event.

That same day, on May the Fourth, the Hamilton Library in Chandler is also hosting a children’s Star Wars Scavenger Hunt from 8 am to 7 pm. Participants will be given a checklist, and those who complete it will be eligible to win a prize, while supplies last.

But don’t forget the sneaky sequel to the Star Wars holiday, known as Revenge of the Sixth. Held on May 6, The Sugar Bar is getting into the spirit by hosting a Star Wars-themed trivia night from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Star Wars events like this may choose to use printing services to create trivia game sheets, scavenger hunt locator cards and LEGO build instructions.
