Iron & Wine and Band of Horses are coming to the Wild Horse Pass in Chandler this September.
The two folk-rock bands, who both came to prominence in the 2000s and 2010s, have amassed millions of plays on music streaming platforms and they each have a large, dedicated following.
After headlining the Sunset Festival in Texas earlier this year, Band of Horses isn’t letting up any time soon with their performances. Lead singer Ben Birdwell is known for infusing his life into his music, not only in the deeply personal lyrics but also in the mood of each overarching album. The band’s two biggest songs are “The Funeral” and “No One’s Gonna Love You,” which each have profound significance in Birdwell’s personal life.
Iron & Wine has been making a splash with their recently released new album in years, Light Verse. Lead singer Sam Beam has garnered a reputation for crafting melancholic folk songs in the 2000s. However, his music has continued to evolve since then. Beam said he struggled creatively during the COVID-19 pandemic but ultimately found his voice again as a musician after collaborating with singer/songwriter Lori McKenna.
