Cajun themed festival to bring taste of Louisiana to Chandler

The word Cajun, which is derived from the word “Acadian”, is a term used for the food and music found in ports of Louisiana, and a special event will celebrate this aspect of the state's culture.

When the French Acadians were expelled from Eastern Canada centuries ago, many settled in southern Louisiana, and the Southwest Cajun Fest will put its food, music, and culture in the spotlight. It will offer fun for all ages, and the festivities have a planned runtime of seven hours.

The attendees at the festival will be able to enjoy a wide assortment of Cajun dishes, and everyone will have the opportunity to meet some alligators in the petting zoo. The Bourbon Street Experience will provide a taste of Mardis Gras, and eating competitions, street performers, a pop-up bar, and a special Kid’s Zone will round out the festivities.

A festival can be a great way to bring neighbors together, which can help build a stronger community. A banner printing company can be tasked with providing decor and other materials for a special occasion such as this.

The Southwest Cajun Fest will be bringing a taste of Louisiana to Arizona on February 3. This family-friendly day is scheduled to take place at the Dr. A.J. Chandler Park East Stage Plaza, and the festivities will begin at 2:00pm.
