New initiative welcomes Surreys seed savers

The City Centre Branch of the Surrey Public Library system is excited to announce that it has a new programme up and running that can help make it easier for local residents to “go green”.

The library will be hosting a meeting of its newly developed Seed Library, and it can be an opportunity for the attendees to share their love of plants. No experience is needed to participate, and the sessions will take place on a drop in basis.

The attendees at the meetings will work together to prepare the materials that will be added to the community seed Boxes, and they will also plan other horticultural events for the local area. Everyone will be made to feel welcome.

Many people are becoming interested in living a more sustainable lifestyle, and seed saving can be a fun way to get started. Stationery printers will be happy to help, and can prepare everything from paper seed storage Envelopes to Posters that help get the word out to the local community.

Surrey seed savers and anyone else who is interested in meeting other home horticulturalists are invited to attend the monthly meetings, which will be on offer starting on May 3rd. the sessions will take place in Room 120 at the Surrey Public Library, beginning at 10:30 am and continuing on until 12:00 pm. The library is located at 10350 University Drive.
