Art class goes green for March

In early March, South Charleston residents can celebrate an upcoming holiday with an artistic activity.

The Leprechaun Gnome Painting Experience combines an icon of St. Patrick’s Day with the popular yard decoration of the gnome. April Noble will be teaching each guest how to lay the paint onto the 16”x20” canvas to make the finished piece, which includes several skills like layering, creating texture, outlining, blending, and creating shapes.

Uncork & Create has a mission to provide art “experiences” rather than lessons. The hope is for everyone to enjoy the atmosphere and relax as they tap into their creativeness. The Charleston studio is this event’s venue.

Adults 21 and up can enjoy wine and other alcoholic drinks at the venue, although these are not covered by the entrance tickets. Tickettailor is the vendor for the passes, which are $39.59. This price includes both the sales tax and booking fees in addition to the artist’s time, materials (paints, brushes, and canvases), and the reservation of a spot. Credit may be put towards a different activity at the studio for anyone who finds they cannot attend and provides at least a day’s notice. Advertisement of art events often has flyer printing incorporated.

The activity is booked for 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday, March 2.
