Throttle wide open on economic development in South Charleston

The ongoing construction at the Park Place shopping center has the city welcoming new businesses and fielding questions from businesses interested in setting up shop here in South Charleston.

Since the opening of the Kroger Marketplace in June, the area in and around Park Place shopping mall has experienced immense growth with the clear end in sight. According to Mayor Frank Mullens, both the citizens and the city will be benefiting from the new development. While the city will benefit from the increased tax base, the residents will be able to enjoy a higher quality of life with more places to shop, eat, and enjoy entertainment.

Banner printing services make it easier for enterprises to build excitement for their upcoming grand openings, while flyer printing can help entice the public to give a new business a chance.

Mayor Mullens also predicted this would be a game changer for the city. Moreover, he explained that Park Place has started a domino effect and that he anticipates more announcements in the near future, saying:

“We’re on the phone constantly setting meetings with developers about property around Park Place now and down the new Jefferson Road, so we’ve got some deals going on there.”

Among the confirmed business coming to South Charleston are 7 Brew, Mission Barbeque, and Chipotle.
