The Watertown Senior Center will be hosting a lunch and two talks next month.
A lunch of hot chicken or hot beef sandwiches provided by Glenn’s Market followed by bars and cake made by the Senior Center Baking Committee will be held at the Watertown Senior Center to celebrate Veterans Day. Entertainment will follow lunch. The charge is $5.00 for non-veterans and veterans can enjoy the event at no charge. This will be on Tuesday November 10 with lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. and entertainment at 1:00 p.m.
The upcoming day and extended trips offered by the Senior Center will be presented by Kriss Hoff of Happy Time Tour and Travel. There is no charge for this event, and it is open to the public. This will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday November 13.
Residents will have an opportunity to attend a presentation focused on the value and contributions of older adults during a Badger Talk. The program will explore the resilience, wisdom, and life experiences that older generations bring to families and communities, while highlighting the opportunities and rewards associated with aging. Organizers say the discussion is designed to foster a greater appreciation for the important role older adults play in society and encourage meaningful connections across generations. This will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday November 13.
Poster printing can be used to promote such celebrations and discussions throughout a community.
