Watertown invites community to share visions
Members of the community are invited by the Watertown Public Library to participate in one of two community conversation sessions that will be taking place next month.
These sessions are designed to help create the next strategic plan for the library, by gathering feedback, ideas, and aspirations about the future of the community of Watertown and how the library can support that future.
Local print shops can help promote such sessions with flyers and other printed materials that can be distributed throughout the community.
Participants can share their hopes for the library, explore what resources or actions may strengthen the entire community, and express any concerns. Those who participate in these discussions do not need to be current members of the library or have any knowledge of the library. The focus of the discussion is on the needs of the community and the vision of the future of the library.
Director of the Watertown Public Library, Peg Checkai, said:
The two sessions will be held in the Large Community Room of the Watertown Public Library. The first session will be from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. and the second will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., both on Thursday December 4. Light refreshments will be served.
