Hospital in Watertown earns major recognitions

The Becker’s Hospital Review has selected Watertown Regional Medical Center as one of its 100 best hospitals for the third year in a row. Only two community hospitals in Wisconsin were selected for this review.

Richard Keddington, CEO of Watertown Regional Medical Center, expressed his honor to be part of this group of leading community hospitals. He said that this recognition is about what the team at the hospital does every day for the families, neighbors, and friends in Jefferson and Dodge Counties, and that it validates their work.

Becker defines community hospitals as those dedicated to academic advancement, clinical excellence, and delivery of holistic and personalized care. Their mission is to improve the health outcomes in the communities they serve.

Watertown Regional Medical Center has had several achievements over the past few years. Last year, it added increased orthopedic services to the region. In 2023, it opened a cardiac catheterization lab with the most advanced technology. In 2022, it started offering the VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution, a knee replacement technology that allows each surgery to be customized for each patient, and enables quick recovery.

This year, the hospital also earned an A grade from the Leapfrog Group for hospital safety, and was one of only two community hospitals in the ScionHealth group to earn the Platinum Award, the highest honor of National Quality Strategy.

News of such recognition and achievements is often made known throughout a community with flyer printing.
