Wisconsin fair to celebrate anniversary

The Wisconsin State Fair will return for its 170th anniversary next month. Anyone from the state, including residents from Menomonee Falls, is welcome to join.

The State Fair started at Janesville in 1851 and soon became a yearly tradition for Wisconsin. It would move locations every year until 1892, where the fair permanently settled in West Allis – its current location.

Throughout the years, the event has celebrated Wisconsin’s agriculture and its impact on the state’s history. Guests can expect exhibits that explore different aspects of the state’s agricultural production. The fair will also have over 7,000 animals, many of which are competing in the event’s competitions. These events usually utilize flyer printing to provide more details on exhibits at the fair.

The fair will also feature more than just agricultural exhibits. Live shows will play throughout the event, featuring a mix of concerts, comedy routines, and educational shows. Families can also bring their children to enjoy different rides and attractions. For those looking to bring something home, vendors will also be selling goods like jewelry and cookware.

The event will take place from August 5 to 15. General admission to the event is $9. There are also tickets for activities and shows at the fair. More details on ticket options can be found online. Guests will find the fair at 640 South 84th Street.
