Historical park set for upgrades
Menomonee Falls’s Old Falls Village is celebrating its 50th year, and the historical society would like to mark the occasion by making some park improvements.
The historical society wants people to feel like they are taking a walk through history when they visit the park. One of the sites in the park is the Miller-Davidson house, which was constructed in 1858 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Other historical buildings in the park include buildings that were moved to the park from other places in the village. Printing services could be used to share the historical significance of the buildings.
The Miller-Davidson house is famous because it was once the home of the wife of Walter Davidson, the man who founded the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Co. According to the historical society, Emma Davidson played cards with friends there during the summer. The historical society wants the house to look and feel as though people are still living there.
Other upgrades planned for the park include more roads and paths, a sidewalk, and a picket fence. Nancy Greifenhagen from the Historical Society of Menomonee Falls commented to say:
A surprise addition planned for the park is the inclusion of a pair of antique fire trucks.

“We are using the park more than ever. We want the public to enjoy the park, the events and its rentals. We want to have a better area to enjoy the park and especially having it surrounded by a nice quaint area.”
