County business trio claims state awards
Alto-Shaam, Inc. of Menomonee Falls recently won the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award for large companies.
The kitchen solutions company was one of three manufacturing businesses in Waukesha County recognized at the 28th annual awards ceremony on February 24. The event was black tie, and 38 businesses had been nominated for an award.
The other companies in the county were Waukesha's Generac Power Systems, which won the ‘mega’ category, and Felss Rotaform LLC in New Berlin took the ‘small’ category. Baraboo-based Teel Plastics, Inc took the ‘medium’ category as the fourth grand winner.
Manufacturers in the state support the economies of the towns and cities in the area, according to a statement by Michael Best & Friedrich's managing partner David Krutz. The people of Wisconsin can grow with them through their products and careers they provide.
The award goes to different sized manufacturers that contribute the most for the state's economy. A panel of judges looks at financial data, technology, green efforts, improvement, and products, among a variety of other aspects. Kurt Bauer, President and CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturer & Commerce, expressed pride in all the winners for their international reputation as outstanding businesses.
Having won a major award, Alto-Shaam and its fellow victors can mention it on their various promotional products, such as mugs, pens, water bottles, or mousepads.
