A show that captures 90s rock is scheduled for Kenosha.
Boys and Toys: The Ultimate Rock Experience will be a blast from the past, channeling the big amp, high-energy rock of 90s bands like Guns ‘N Roses, U2, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains.
Boys and Toys exploded onto the music scene in June 1990. The group comprised Jon Ianni and brothers Chris and Steve Kollman. They loved the rock of that decade, with stage shows characterized by rack mountable effects and big amps that blasted sound to the back row. The “toys” used by the groups became the heart of the group’s performances, and their passion for state-of-the-art gear and powerful sound was the inspiration for their name. For them, the show is always all about rock.
The lineup has changed, as often happens with bands that have a long history. Steve Kollman has passed away, and Chris is no longer involved with the band. Jon Ianni is the sole founding member still performing. The rest of the current lineup comprises Brad Wilson, who has been with the group since 2019, on guitar and vocals; and Mike Parise, who joined in 2017, on cowbell and working as lead vocalist. Ianni is on vocals and handles the bass.
Boys and Toys: The Ultimate Rock Experience is set to take place at Kenosha Tap, located at 3221 60th Street, on November 22. When they book shows like this, organizers can promote them by using poster printing methods.
