Kenosha plans summer celebration

Kenosha has planned a party that is the very essence of summer.

Beachstock is a relaxed, fun celebration that will be held on the lakefront, inspired by the high-energy, free-wheeling gathering at Woodstock in 1969.

Beachstock offers local artists and vendors, live entertainment, food, and the chill vibe found at the Kenosha Beach House on Simmons Island Road. The Beach House dates to 1934, when it was built as a bath house. Today, it serves beverages and food, has recreational equipment for rent, and sells beach-themed items in its shop.

The live entertainment includes a Kids Rager featuring a bubble cannon, along with performances by Another One, a tribute band for the Grateful Dead; Indigo Canyon, known for its Janis Joplin covers; and the Peacetree Allstars, a local jam band performing both originals and covers.

Beachstock is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The Kenosha Beach House is located at 5001 Simons Island Road. Admission is free, everyone is welcome and people may wish to bring chairs or blankets for comfort.

The Kids Rager is from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Another One starts at 3.00 pm, Peacetree Allstars take the stage at 5.30 pm, and Indigo Canyon appears at 8.00 pm. Advertising created by organizers using professional poster printing can help boost attendance at events like this.
