An upcoming event will allow participants to run for both fun and beer.
The Wisconsin Brewery Running Series® has another event on the schedule, this time in Kenosha. The 5K Fun Run will take place at Kenosha Brewing Company, and participants have the choice of walking, running, or jogging the 5K course. After the run is over, they can enjoy the beer they’ve earned. In fact, the event is limited to the number of people who will fit in the brewery’s taproom.
Another is to encourage people to become or remain active, enjoy themselves, and give back to the community. The last aim is accomplished by giving a portion of the proceeds from the race to local nonprofit organizations, and the series has raised more than $500,000 thus far. Local organizations that will benefit from this event include Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, and MADACC.
The course is “5k-ish” in length and starts and ends at the brewery. The event is open to all, from serious runners to those who are looking for a way to remain active. The course is scenic, will allow runners to enjoy their surroundings, and give them a chance to win prizes.
The brewery run is set for September 20. The course begins and ends at Kenosha Brewing Company, located at 4017 80th Street. When they plan events like this, organizers can work with banner printing to develop course markers.
