Knowing how to perform infant CPR can help a person to save someone else’s life, and a workshop has been planned for the Burlington community that will teach local parents, grandparents and others this skill.
Those who participate in the Infant CPR for Family and Friends event will include tips for putting a baby to bed safely, how to help calm and soothe a crying baby who doesn't seem to want to be comforted, accidents in the home and how to prevent them, how to keep their child safe around water will all be discussed. A portion of the evening will also be dedicated to a conversation about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It is scheduled to run for one hour, and as it is not a certification course, these attendees will not be given one. The comb binding process can be used by a Print company to create simple first aid manuals for each person who participates in training such as this.
The registration fee for the class, which is being offered to parents, grandparents, caregivers and parents to be, has been set at $20.00 each. It will be held on July 12th at 300 McCanna Parkway in Burlington.
