The city of Burlington has selected its new full time Fire Chief.
Alan Babe was chosen to fill the role. He has over 20 years of experience performing firefighting, and eventually fire chief, duties with the Town of Raymond’s Fire and Rescue Department. This was in addition to his holding down a full time “day job” as well. He remarked that he is really looking forward to the new challenges that lie ahead of him. Babe further explained that he has a real passion for firefighting, and is eager to put his knowledge and skills that he has learned over his two decades in the field to use in this new position.
Burlington’s Mayor Jeannie Hefty, noted that she feels he will be an ideal fit for the job, as he will be able to work effectively with all of the community’s volunteer first responders. A business card printing company will be able to provide someone who is hired for a new role such as this with Business Cards, Letterheads, Notepads and any other printed items they might need in his new position.
The first day for Mr. Babe as the full time fire chief will be July 5th. He will be leaving his job at Single Source Inc., which is a distributor of automotive paint.
