The Success with Interprofessional Practice and Education (SWIPE) 201 Preceptor Development Program is set to take place next month in Yakima.
Yakima Valley Interprofessional Practice and Education Collaborative (YVIPEC) will be hosting this event. Originally established in the autumn of 2014, the mission of the Yakima Valley Interprofessional Practice and Education Collaborative is to provide new professionals in healthcare practices, as well as students with in-depth learning programs and courses to develop their skills and increase the overall quality of healthcare throughout the state of Washington.
YVIPEC designed the Success with Interprofessional Practice and Education program for anyone new to a variety of healthcare professions, including preceptors, faculty members, and students. Individuals who will be taking part in this three-hour event will complete a curriculum that details the ideal professional behaviors and skillsets needed in the healthcare environment or in the classroom, and how they should be implemented. The hosts of related courses often visit Print shops to prepare for planned events to ensure that each student has access to relevant course materials.
Healthcare students and new professionals are welcome to register for this event online at no cost.
The SWIPE 201 Faculty and Preceptor Program is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Yakima Valley Interprofessional Practice and Education Collaborative facility.
