Up-and-coming comedian to visit Yakima

A comedian who got his start making jokes about his life as a skater is coming to Yakima.

Taylor Clark is bringing his “Dreams are Cringe Tour” to A.V.E. in Yakima, and this will be the last chance audiences will have to see Clark live before he makes his first recording. Clark started making a name for himself when he dropped a few clips of his stand-up routines about skating.

Skate magazines such as “Low Card Magazine” and “Thrasher Magazine” rushed to interview him, and credited him with telling skating jokes that were “actually funny.” With that boost, and after opening for artists such as Jeff Ross and Michael Yo, he is getting ready to record a special.

Clark already has an album available on Spotify that is helping build his fanbase, but the skating community feels that they discovered him first. He enjoys bringing non-skaters into his world, and introducing them to skateboarding culture, and he does so by performing at skate shops, which helps support local businesses.

A review of Clark’s routine says:

"A completely unforgettable show and experience."

Also on the bill is John Hedrick, helping to crank up the fun. The duo will be cracking jokes at A.V.E., which is on North 6th Avenue, on July 28. Organizers planning events such as this can use flyer printing to create colorful handouts advertising the show, and distribute them locally.
