Summer brings a chance for people to get outdoors and enjoy the sun and, in the case of Yakima, music as well.
Gilbert Cellars on Draper Road is home to the annual “Music in the Vines” festival, which has been giving concert-goers the chance to enjoy performances in a working vineyard, where they can enjoy fine wines and great food with the music, for ten years. This year, food vendors who will be at the event are Tacos el Rey; Huck & Bean Ice Cream; E. Z Tiger, an Asian restaurant; and Abundant Tables, which serves charcuterie boards and fine cheese.
The performers this summer are Caleb Hawley; Jeff Crosby; the Great American Trainwreck; The Sam Chase & The Untraditional, and Shamarr Allen.
Hawley, who appears June 19, is a singer/songwriter based in Harlem, who is putting his own twist on pop music. Jeff Crosby, who takes the stage July 10, is a true troubadour, touring almost constantly, and writing songs that reflect American life. July 24 brings the Great American Trainwreck, a Seattle-based outfit who blend country, bluegrass, and southern rock.
Performing on August 14 are The Same Chase & The Untraditional. This band, based in San Francisco, blends folk and rock with a dash of punk. The final performance is from Shamarr Allen, who arrives August 28, bringing the music of New Orleans with him. Flyer printing can provide handouts for this type of event.
