A festival celebrating one of everyone’s favorite foods is coming up in Yakima.
The Central Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is the organizer of the upcoming Yakima Taco Fest 2024. The food festival has been created to honor and celebrate the vendors who will be participating, as well as the region’s agricultural workers.
The event features both tacos and Latin music and always sells out, as people from all backgrounds, places, and cultures come together to enjoy the day. Vendors will include not only the taco sellers, but also drink and retail vendors. Yard games are planned, as are photo booth stations, and people will have a chance to vote for their favorite craft beverage and taco vendors.
Organizers note that there have been some changes in the layout this year, including moving outside to State Fair Park. In addition, the Mercado (marketplace) is returning, giving vendors a chance to share original hand-crafted items.
The Yakima Taco Fest 2024 is scheduled for May 4, from 1.00 pm until 9.00 pm, at the State Fair Park & Event Center on South Fair Avenue. The event is for those 21 years of age and older only. Those who purchase VIP admission will be admitted one hour early, giving them a chance to browse vendors and nibble tacos. When events like this are planned, organizers will often work with poster printing to create advertising for them.
