Shamarr Allen comes from New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward, and has been influenced by a wide range of genres including country, funk blues, rock, and jazz. He has his own band, “Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs,” and he is both the trumpeter and the band's lead vocalist.
A review of one of Allen's shows in his home town said:
“This musician ALWAYS interacts with the audience and always reminds them how much he appreciates them. . . . He is incredibly talented and fun to watch. There are a million shows . . . in New Orleans.....This show is one I try to make every time I’m here.”
In addition to performing with the Underdawgs, Allen has worked with artists like Lenny Kravitz, Harry Connick Jr., Pattie Labelle, and Willie Nelson. In addition to his skill as a performer and trumpeter, Allen is also a music producer, writer, and composer, and brings a unique look and sound to his performances.
Allen's appearance is part of the Music in the Vines 2020 Festival, an important annual event in the Yakima Valley. He will be at Gilbert Cellars in Yakima on August 28 from 7.00 pm until 9.00 pm. Doors open at 5.00 pm. Since this is an outdoor venue, banner printing is a good choice to create decorations for this type of event.
