New My Place hotel now open in Yakima

A new My Place hotel recently opened in Yakima, the third hotel of the brand to open in Washington State. The hotel is three stories tall and offers 64 rooms, and is located on South 18th Street. This is the 44th My Place hotel to open in a total of 21 states.

My Place Hotel-Yakima is located to provide easy access to a number of Yakima attractions including Sara Hubbard Park, the Yakima Greenway, the city's downtown area, and the Yakima Speedway. Guests will also find they are located near shops and restaurants.

Thind PMR Enterprises IV, Inc., will operate the hotel, which it owns independently of the chain. This is the first My Place Hotel to be run by a member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), which is the world's biggest association of hotel owners. Minnie Thrind, who is president of Thrind PMR Enterprises, says she is delighted to introduce Yakima to My Place hotels.

Terry Kline, the executive vice president of Franchise Sales and Development for My Place, said the company believes Yakima is a prime location for a My Place hotel. When new facilities like this open, operators could use flyer printing to create publicity.

My Place hotels are built from the ground up, and offer nightly, weekly, or extended stays at reasonable rates. Amenities include small kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and a store where guests can buy food, and even pots and pans to cook their meals.
