New brewery now open in Yakima

Yakima, Washington is becoming a destination for beer lovers, who have an opportunity to visit several breweries that operate within the city.

A new brewer recently joined the ranks, when Single Hill Brewing Company opened its doors, according to an article on the Washington Beer Blog of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. In its taproom, Single Hill will be selling the beer it brews, as well as those it creates by collaborating with others, such as Bale Breaker Brewing.

Ty Paxton, one of Single Hill's owners, says their vision is to:

“…become a local destination where outstanding beer gathers people from every corner of the valley to work, play, create and grow.”

Paxton, who has worked in marketing for years, brings his experience with him to help build the new brand.

He is joined in this effort by co-owner Zach Turner, who has been working in the beer industry for many years. He says that the farms in Yakima make it an ideal location for brewing beer, and that Single Hill plans to infuse the fruit and hops found in the Yakima Valley into great brews that beer drinkers will enjoy.

Single Hill will produce a “reliable lineup” each year of four or five beers, plus seasonal brews that everyone should enjoy.
