Music festival promises fun in Yakima

An upcoming event in Yakima promises wine, beer, food, music, and fun.

The 2024 Hop Country Music Festival features an incredible lineup of bands. First up is STARSHIP (the successor to Jefferson Starship), which enjoyed huge success with hits like “We Built This City.”

Foghat hit the mainstream in 1977 with their multi-platinum “Foghat Live.” They released “Sonic Mojo” in 2023. It rocketed to the No 1 spot on the Billboard Blues Charts, and remained in the Top Ten for more than 24 weeks.

Comprising six musicians who mix country, pop, Blues, jazz, and classic rock into a blend of their own, Englewood Heights formed in 2022.

Country singer/songwriter Walker Hayes was nominated for Best Country Song for his 2021 hit “Fancy Like.” The tune climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart where it remained for over six months.

The group Parmalee has put three consecutive singles in the No. 1 spot in three years. Billboard Magazine named their hit “Take My Name,” the Most Played Country Song of 2022.

Winning Ed McMahon’s “Star Search” after being turned down by Nashville Showcases won Sawyer Brown, country-rock experts, legions of fans.

Cody Beebe & The Crooks put a progressive rock spin on country music. They have become a staple in Northwest Country music.

The festival is September 13 and 14 at the Sozo Sports Complex on South 36th Avenue. Organizers of events like this often turn to poster printing to create advertising to bring in audiences.
