Camila is one of the most popular pop/rock bands in Latin America, and have released numerous hits s since 2005. Mario Domm, a producer, composer, and singer founded the group in 2005 when he signed with Sony BMG Norte. The group also comprised Samo, and guitarist Pablo Hurtado. Their first two efforts as Camila, 2006’s “Todo Cambió” and “Dejarte de amar,” which they dropped in 2010, made them Latin American stars.
Songs such “Bésame,” “Mientes,” “Coleccionista de canciones” and others have won them Platinum and Diamond certifications, three Billboard Awards, and three Latin Grammys, including “Record of the Year” and “Album of the Year.” They have taken the stage in venues such as NOKIA in Los Angeles and New York, and in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, a concert that drew 100,000 attendees. In addition, they have worked with artists like Alejandra Guzman, Kenny G, Colbie Caillat, and many others. They have sold more than two million records worldwide with a sound that blends Latin pop with a little bit of rock.
Samo has left the group, but Domm and Hurtado have carried on, releasing their latest studio album, “Hacia adentro,” in 2019.
