Huge annual event returns to Yakima
An old-fashioned event is returning to Yakima, and everyone is sure to have a great time.
The 2023 Central Washington State Fair is an opportunity for Yakima County’s commercial, civic, educational, and agricultural interests to come together to highlight their products and services. Buildings on the fairgrounds are the venues for competitive, non-profit, and commercial exhibits, and fair attendees will enjoy unique shopping opportunities, midway-style rides, concerts, stage shows, and, of course, the ever-popular fair food.
Butler Amusements will once again be in charge of the more than 40 Midway Rides, as it has been for many years. The rides are suitable for old and young alike.
Live performances will be on the Corona Main Stage, which will feature special entertainment almost every day. Anyone who would like to reserve a seat may do so online or at the box office for a small fee. Some of the performers scheduled are singer Jeremy Camp, comedian Jeff Allen, and Southern rock band 38 Special.
The basis of the fair is the agriculture of the Yakima Valley, so there will be livestock exhibits and daily contests, as well as other entertainment such as monster trucks.
