An event planned in Yakima will help raise funds for a local sports team.
The West Valley Little League provides fun for youngsters in Yakima, but the League can only cover part of their expenses from registration fees. In order to make up the rest, it throws fundraisers like the upcoming dinner.
The funds help purchase equipment, hire umpires, improve the playing field, and work towards improving the facilities. Anyone who would like to donate items for the auction still has a chance to do so.
Attendees will enjoy food, the company of friends, and a chance to bid on items in a silent auction. Among the items being raffled off are reserved parking spaces – a rare commodity, and one that is greatly valued by people rushing to get to a game. The evening is also a chance for Little League families to get to know one another.
The dinner is Saturday, March 2, beginning at 6:00 pm, at the Yakima Harman Center. The meal is a choice of salmon or New York strip steak, and the price is $100 per person, or $800 for a table that seats eight. The event is limited to those 21 years of age and older.
When special events like this are scheduled, organizers will often work with printing companies who use poster printing to create suitable advertising.
