Food and fun await in Yakima

An upcoming event in Yakima will honor agricultural workers and Yakima’s outstanding vendors.

The Yakima Taco Fest is back, hosted by the Central Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to celebrate Hispanic business owners and farmworkers by providing Latin music and authentic tacos.

The main course at the Taco Fest is of course tacos, which will be available from food vendors. Drink vendors will also be onsite, and there will be photo booths, music, and cornhole games. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite craft beverage vendor and favorite taco vendor. People from all backgrounds and cultures enjoy the event, which always sells out, so anyone thinking of attending should buy tickets early.

The festival was last held in 2019, and there have been some changes for 2022. There are now new exit and entrance locations to make it easier to traverse the venue. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create signage to help attendees find specific areas.

The Fuego Experience is an add-on that brings several of perks with it. Those who purchase this package will enjoy an early admission period of three hours, expanded from two, as well as a special Yakima Taco Fest Loteria created just for this event.

The Taco Fest is for those 21 years of age and older only, and is scheduled for April 30, from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm, at Yakima Greenway – Sarg Hubbard Park on South 18th Street.
