Feasting for a purpose in Yakima

An upcoming event is set to raise money for a great cause by inviting people to a feast.

People are waiting enthusiastically for the Claws for Paws Crab Feed 2025, set to take place this February. Everyone is welcome to attend and bring family and friends for a great night that includes drinks, dinner, a Dessert Dash, raffle prizes, a game of ring toss, dancing, and more. The event, which is a benefit on behalf of the Yakima Humane Society, always sells out, so anyone interested should buy tickets now. Organizers of events like this can use poster printing to advertise them.

As the name implies, the main item on the menu is as much crab as a diner can eat, along with coleslaw, a baked potato, rolls, and a drink. There is also a Dessert Dash to end the meal.

At a Dessert Dash, each table has a bid card with the table number on it, and the group uses it to place their bid on one of the desserts. The table with the highest bid goes first and a “runner” races to the dessert table to select their treat. However, the next table will be right behind them, so the runner has to “dash” to get the dessert the table wants.

This year’s Claws for Paws Crab Feed will be held in the SunDome on February 8, from 5.00 pm until 10.00 pm. The Yakima Valley SunDome is at 1113 South Fair Avenue in Yakima.
