Yakima's Seasons Performance Hall may be closed at the moment, but the music is still ongoing, and a new performance is on the schedule.
Sempre Chamber Music is presenting a Spring 2021 recital, with violinist Denise Dillenbeck as the soloist. There are three works on the program – the first is the Piano Trio No. 1 in B flat, Op. 90, by Franz Schubert, and the second is a major work by French composer Ernest Chausson – his Concerto for Violin, Piano, and String Quartet, Op. 21. The final work is the Evening Prayer by Quinn Mason, which is to be played by the String Quartet.
The Schubert piece will be played by Brooke Scholl on cello, Vanessa Moss on the violin, and Martin Kennedy at the piano. Moss is also a member of SEMPRE Chamber Music.
Moss, along with Scholl, Kennedy, Allion Salvador on violin, and Jessica Jasper on viola, will play the Chausson piece, with Denise Dillenbeck handling the violin solo.
Dillenbeck is a consummate musician and has toured the United States and Europe with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has also played with such notable groups as the Baltimore Symphony and the Seattle Symphony, and is currently the Yakima Symphony's concertmaster, among other duties.
The concert will be livestreamed on April 18, from 6.00pm until 7.30pm. It will be available to view until 11.30 pm on April 23. Organizers of events like this sometimes work with brochure printers to create informative pamphlets to mail to ticket purchasers in advance.
