Woodinville introduces Brewery Challenge
Woodinville's brewers have devised an intriguing test in which six breweries have partnered to create the Woodinville Brewery Challenge.
The participating breweries are Twelve Bar Brews, Triplehorn Brewing, Sumerian Brewing, Dirty Bucket Brewing, Brickyard Brewing, and B-Side Brewing.
Woodinville, which is already known for its wine production, is also becoming known for the beer being made here. Six breweries have opened in the past five years, with several more in the planning stages.
The challenge is for participants to visit each of the six in a course that will cover 5.9 miles, get a punch card at any of them, and then redeem the finished card for a prize. Those taking the challenge can reach the breweries on foot, on a bike, or by driving, though in that case they need to designate a driver. The challenge requires them to order two regular-size beers, or a beer flight, at each stop. The brewery will stamp the challenge card every time the person makes a purchase. Once the person fills up the card, he or she can redeem it at any one of the six breweries for a logo of the challenge, and a limited-edition pint glass featuring the breweries' names.
There is no set date or timeframe for the challenge. The breweries might create festive banners to add to the fun of the challenge.
