Training program scheduled for Woodinville
The Woodinville Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event to help companies help their employees develop professionally.
The upcoming session gives a short overview of how to assess and develop training programs for employees. It suggests that when employees are invested in their career and engaged with their employer, turnover is less frequent, and job satisfaction, along with the overall workplace culture, is improved. Managing talent consists of more than hiring good people, but keeping them motivated too.
The event is based on the ADDIE model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. These are the five phases used to build effective tools for supporting performance and training. At the upcoming session, attendees will learn about the system and how it is used; the various training methods and styles of learning; the initiatives dealing with sensitivity and diversity awareness; the necessity of a consistent curriculum; and how to budget when it is necessary to bring in outside experts.
At the end of the session, participants will know when and how to employ the ADDIE model, and the various learning styles common to adults. They will also be able to assess their organization's training needs and implement effective programs for training employees.
The meeting is being held virtually via Zoom from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm on November 5. Registration is free, but required. Flyer printing could be used to create pamphlets for a targeted mailing in advance of events like this.
