Run set for Woodinville
One of an ongoing series of races is scheduled for later this year in Woodinville.
The PNW Ladies Running Group, Run 2 Be Fit, and the Run or Wine 5K Series are teaming up to host a Run or Wine 5K, which will take place in the Woodinville Warehouse District. A virtual event will also be available.
On the day of the race, the course is open from 11am until 1pm. Runners will need to pick up their packets and finish the course, either walking or running, during these hours. The course markers will be taken down at 1pm.
What makes this race different is the participation of beer, wine, and cider producers. Runners can buy tasting tickets to enjoy samples at Gard Vintners, Locus Cider and Brewing, and Triplehorn Brewing Company. Runners can enjoy the tastings as they please, however, Gard is suggesting that everyone make reservations for the tastings, since many wineries are not accepting walk-ins at the moment. Events such as this give participating companies a chance to distribute business cards to the tasting participants.
Space for the event, which is set to be held come rain or shine, is limited, so anyone interested should register as soon as possible. Children can take part free of charge.
The run is scheduled for November 21, from 1pm until 3.30pm. However, the schedule could change, so interested parties should check with organizers before the date of the event.
