Major fundraiser comes up in Woodinville
One of the biggest events of the year is on the way to Woodinville.
The Woodinville Chamber of Commerce is holding Salute Woodinville, an annual fundraising event that features an elegant dinner as well as live and silent auctions. The evening will help to raise money for the Chamber, as well as a beneficiary to be named by Chamber members. The theme of this year’s event is the Wild, Wild West. Organizers can use banner printing to create suitable decorations for events like this.
A gourmet dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction are the highlights of the evening, but there will also be dancing, and a lively Raise-the-Paddle auction for the benefit of the Woodinville Storehouse Food Bank.
Most people are familiar with live and silent auctions, but a Raise-the-Paddle auction may be a new concept. In this type of auction, there are no prizes. Instead, participants raise their paddles to indicate they will donate a specific amount of money to the organization. For example, the auctioneer may say the amount of the next round is $200, and people willing to donate that amount will raise their paddles.
In a silent auction, people write down their bids. The silent auction is open to people everywhere, and will be held online as well as in person.
The Salute Woodinville evening is scheduled for March 19 at Liljebeck Farms on 222nd Street SE, beginning at 5:30 pm. The silent auction runs from March 13 to 19.
