Fresh weekend ahead thanks to health-conscious fair
Woodinville market 21 Acres is about to present ‘Fresh Thinking: Food, Water, and Bountiful Living’. Presented in together with the Sammamish Valley Fall Harvest Celebration, three days of festivities will include demos, film screenings, building tours, and hands-on activities.
The goal of the festival, advertised with flyer printing as well as other methods, is to help residents explore the process of growing healthy food in small spaces without wasting water. During the festival, attendees will be able to view Growing Cities, an award-winning film about American urban farming, enjoy a workshop themed around water and its uses, and get professional advice from experts on resource use.
The 21 Acres Farm Market will be open for business, showcasing a variety of fall produce, as well as conducting fall soup cooking demonstrations.
Water-based classes are offered on Saturday, and lunch can be ordered. Also on Saturday, at 4:00 pm, an Amuse-Bouche Pairing with Wine will be offered, although it should be noted that pre-registration will be required for this event. Growing cities screenings and Fall Soup demonstrations will be available all weekend.
This event is open to the public and is free to attend, but some events do have a small charge; check online or call ahead to confirm.
It gets underway at 11:00 am today and runs until Sunday.
