Spokane vineyard to hold art festival

The Arbor Crest Wine Cellars in Spokane will offer a two-day art festival next month.

The Art and Glass Festival is an event where people can browse local vendors on the scenic estate of the Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. There will be 60 businesses at the festival, including Rainy Summer Designs, Always Linked Permanent Jewelry, and Patsy Pinch Designs. Some of this year’s artists at the fest will include Anne Lachman, Debbie McCulley, and Donna Scheunemann. People may bring their own picnics to the venue or purchase food at the festival.

The Arbor Crest Cliff House Estate is a building that was built by Royal N. Riblet in 1924. The winery works with several vineyards, such as the Stillwater Creek Vineyard, the Conner Lee Vineyard, and the Gamache Vineyard. Jim van Löben Sels is the company’s viticulturist, and Kristina Mielke van Löben Sels is the director of winemaking. Many events are held at the estate, like Movement, Music, And Wine, the Great Gatsby Gala, and the Summer Concert Series.

The art festival will be on Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th. There is no cost for the public to attend the fest. All guests at the winery must be 21 years or older, and no outside alcohol is allowed at the venue.
