The Lilac City Comicon will be holding its 20th annual edition this June, looking to bring together fans of comics, science fiction and pop culture in Spokane.
The convention will feature a number of guests participating in panels, meet-and-greets, and other events. Featured guests include voice actors Tara Sands and Lenore Zahn, actors Gigi Edgley and Keith Coogan, and pro wrestlers Rob van Dam and Lisa Marie Varon, along with many others. Visitors can also meet and buy work from award-winning comics artists such as Steve Lieber and Dave Warren.
Lilac City Comicon will also feature a show floor full of exhibitors, including vendors, collectors, and independent artists. Exhibitors include Charlie’s Retro Reality, the Midnight Bazaar photo booth, and The Comic Book Shop. Vendors at shows like this often use large Signs and banner printing to help attract customers in a busy marketplace.
The convention held its first edition in 2007 and has been a staple in Spokane fandom for two decades, describing itself as “Your Friendly Neighborhood Pop Culture Show.” A major attraction is cosplay, with fans invited to dress as their favorite superheroes, cartoons, or characters from sci-fi and fantasy. There will be cosplay contests for both adults and children, as well as expert guests.
The 2026 Lilac City Comicon will take place on June 6 and 7 at the Spokane Convention Center.
