Spokane to offer lasagna cooking class

The Commellini Estate in Spokane will host an intimate hands-on cooking course in January.

The Lasagna Cooking Class is a program that teaches guests how to create a lasagna recipe with an authentic twist. The interactive lesson will be taught by Chef Frank Comito, and will feature several dishes other than lasagna, including rustic Italian bread, antipasto salad, and baked penne. All participants will receive a recipe card to bring home after the lesson. Attendees are allowed to purchase drinks from the venue to enjoy while they cook.

The Commellini Estate is a family-owned wedding and event venue that was established by Albert & Leda Commellini during the 1940s. The company has held over 3,000 successful events since it opened in 1941, and the current owners are Lauri and Robert Seghetti. Lauri once owned an interior design company, and Robert went to Gonzaga University. Many activities are held at the estate, like historical tours, outdoor movie screenings, and the monthly Speakeasy Supper Club series.

The cooking lesson will be held on Wednesday, January 3 from 6:30am to 9:30pm. The class size can only accommodate 11 people, so guests are asked to register in advance. Guests will be required to stand for 1-2 hours. Event venues that offer cooking courses such as this may use poster printing to share their group lessons with the community.
