The Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland will be held this September as a virtual event due to current countrywide conditions.
Due to COVID-19, the organizers of the Tumbleweed Music Festival have converted the gathering into an online concert that guests can hear from the safety of their homes. The festival, now called the TMF Virtual2020, can be attended on computers, tablets, and smartphones. Almost all of the performances held during the event will be free for people to view, and the website for the fest will be up and running until August of next year.
There will be numerous kinds of performers participating in the TMF Virtual2020, with genres including bluegrass, traditional folk, and rock and roll. This year, listeners can hear performances from bands such as Wonderbad, Harmony Ridge, and the Badger Mountain Dry Band. Visitors to the site can support the bands by using virtual tip jars and buying the group’s CDs on their websites. Organizers for music festivals like this can use flyer printing to get people interested in attending.
The virtual show will open to the public next Thursday, September 3. Those who wish to support the music festival can purchase tickets to the online Saturday night concert and the Sunday Contra Dance. People can also buy festival merchandise and donate to the organizers. The normal stage performances will be 10 minutes per set.
