A celebration of wine is preparing to collide with a culinary experience in Richland next month, attracting area residents who have a taste for the finer things in life.
The Weinfest Dinner at Barnard Griffin is getting ready to open its doors for registered guests and interested parties who want to sample a variety of wines while enjoying a multi-course meal. It will be the 2nd annual Weinfest, and organizers are hoping to treat attendees to the flavors and delicacies of German culture.
Each dish will be paired with a prominent wine from the festival by experts at the event. It is an ideal gathering for Richland residents who love German food, enjoy trying new wines, or want to find a fun social setting to forge new friendships. Local Print shops can be invaluable resources for organizers who want to promote such events in the community.
The first course will feature pretzels, cornichons, and bratwursts with a German wine cheese fondue. It will be followed by a Kartoffelpuffel – a dish comprised of sour cream, arugula, and a potato pancake. The third and fourth courses will give diners a taste of Sauerbraten (marinaded meat) and an Aprikosenkuchen (apricot cake) dessert.
The Barnard Griffin Winery in Richland will host the culinary experience and wine tasting on Friday, October 3, starting at 6:30 PM. Non-member tickets cost $85, while member tickets are $75 per person online.
