In October, David Troxel will be presenting a caregiver conference in Richland to give advice on working with those with dementia.
The 11th Annual Caregiver Conference is an in-person event where visitors can learn effective methods for caring for people with dementia. The convention will go over updates on dementia-related research, communication strategies, and developing a therapeutic environment. Guests will also be taught how to look for triggers in dementia patients and methods for keeping them healthy. Convention-goers will receive a morning and afternoon snack.
David Troxel is a public speaker who is knowledgeable about memory care and Alzheimer's disease. He was part of the Ethics Advisory Panel for the Alzheimer's Association and even served as a board member in the American Public Health Association. Troxel graduated from Rutgers Medical School and has co-authored six Books, including The Best Friends™ Approach to Dementia Care. He has given keynote presentations for organizations like the American Society on Aging and National Alzheimer's Association.
The caregiver conference will be held on Friday, October 14 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is no cost to register for Troxel's convention, though sponsorship opportunities are available for companies. The event will occur at the Richland Community Center. People who organize health-related conventions such as this can use brochure printing to provide eventgoers with educational resources they can bring home.
