The official name of the practice facility and headquarters in Renton for the soccer club has undergone a rename.
The venue will now become the Providence Swedish Performance Center and Clubhouse.
The new name of the facility will represent the central focus areas of Sounders FC, which are community and performance.
Providence Swedish announced its partnership with the major league soccer team in 2023. The regional health care network is the provider for the Sounders FC for medical services and performance care for its players.
This partnership enables the physicians of Providence Swedish to serve as the doctors for the club, and to work with sports medicine staff to provide care to help players prevent and manage injuries, maximize rehabilitation and training, and navigate the general health needs.
Along with the new name of the facility, there will be some additional developments, including entertainment and retail spaces and housing on site. Flyer printing is often used to highlight such developments and their benefits for a team and the wider community.
Adrian Hanauer, the majority owner of Sounders FC, said that the team has been partnered with Providence Swedish for one year, and together they have achieved some amazing results. Hanauer added that they are looking forward to the future to deepen their relationship and to have a greater impact on the community.
