Renton municipal airport undergoes enhancements

The new administrative offices and upgrades of the Municipal Airport in Renton have been completed. This milestone coincides with the 100th anniversary of the airport.

The administrative space has been relocated from the Airport Control Tower to an inviting, new, and functional environment, which should enhance the experience for both visitors and employees. This space is part of a larger strategy to modernize and protect infrastructure that is critical to the future of Renton. Mayor Armondo Pavone said that aviation has played an important role in the development of the region and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Several other projects have been undertaken to enhance access for the public and airport operations. Taxiway A has been repaved, and parking facilities have been expanded to make it easier for visitors and pilots using the airport.

Local Print shops can help spread the word throughout a city about such enhancements with Flyers, Brochures, and other printed materials.

There will be more improvements and upgrades in the coming months. These include investments in a new, state-of-the-art control tower; the use of electric vehicle charging stations for both vehicle and aircraft; and enhancements to the seaplane base. Grants have been secured by the city from the federal government in the amount of $18 million to help pay for these improvements.
